Page Title (also known as “title tag”) is the text appears at the top of a browser and describes your website or Web page. Most web browsers will display the web page title at the top of the browser title bar. Page Title is the most important aspect of SEO since it carries the highest on-page weight in search engine algorithm, and tells users and search engines what your page is about.
Page Title also appears on a search engine results page (SERP) as anchor text. When a search engine displays search results for a user query, it uses the Page Title as the link for each result. It also serves as "call to action" for users, who might then click on the result and enter your page. It is very important to have a distinct and relevant page title for every single page, and keywords coincide with the page content. Keep in mind that when coming up with a Page Title, you need to be aware of the length restrictions. Search engines will only display up to 70 characters, and anything over 70 characters will be stripped out. The best way to construct Page Title is to place important keywords close to the front of the title tag, and add branding (company name) at the end of the title, so that the keywords are given importance. Finally, remember that an effective Page Title is brand-focused, unique and action-oriented.
